Hailed by critics and rock fans alike as one of the most promising new bands of 2002 and nominated for Best New British Band at this years Kerrang! Awards, British three-piece InMe release their stunning debut album on 27th January 2003. Produced by Colin Richardson, “Overgrown Eden” is heavy alternative rock at its best and features the band’s three singles ‘UnderDose’, ‘Firefly’ and ‘Crushed Like Fruit’ which crashed into the UK singles chart at #25.

“Overgrown Eden…is crammed full of finely-crafted metallic metal gems with grooves that gel themselves firmly to the frontal lobes.” – Kerrang!

“Watch them lead the Britrock army to triumph.” – NME

“Primed to show the Americans that whatever they can do, the Brits can do better.” – Rock Sound

The album features 12 beautifully crafted tracks that showcase singer Dave McPherson’s versatile vocal talents, ranging from angelic falsettos to haunting growls. Backed up with pounding drums, grinding guitars and powerful bass (bassist Joe Morgan is also a Grade 8 violinist), McPherson’s emotional lyrics are sung with a passion and honesty reminiscent of Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain.

The album’s debut single, “UnderDose” rocketed into the UK National chart at #66, and was quickly followed by second single ‘Firefly’ which debuted at #43. The third single to be taken from the album is ‘Crushed Like Fruit’ which is released prior to the album on January 6th 2003. The track has had additional mixing from Al Clay (Stereophonics, A, Feeder) and has already picked up plays both at Radio 1 and XFM and the accompanying video has once again become a firm favourite with MTV2.

Recent tours with Hundred Reasons, JJ72 and Puddle Of Mudd have cemented InMe’s reputation as an incredible live band leading to their own sell-out tours and rave live reviews, which are surely just the beginning.

InMe will head out on their third SOLD OUT headline tour of the UK in January in support of the single and album release, before they embark of their first live shows in Europe.

‘Overgrown Eden’ will be launched at the Virgin Megastore, Oxford Street, London at 5:30pm on Tuesday 28th January, when the band perform songs from the album followed by a signing session.
