Substance are thrilled to re-launch their newly styled pop/dance label with Novaspace’s fuel charged re-working of Cyndi Lauper’s time-less hit ‘Time After Time’ – Irish released February 7th.

Novaspace go all nostalgic with their updated version of this 80’s classic – synths and rolling drums cleverly dare you to not to tap your foot and sing along – c’mon who doesn’t remember the words!?! Man of the moment, Pascal, along with a whole host of others, is called in for remix duties. His, is a total hands in the air affair, whilst I-Nation strip things down for a full-on vocal version that’s guaranteed to fill dancefloors across the country.

Being able to pay tribute to the idol of her youth through this track is like a dream come true for 23-year-old Jessie who fronts Novaspace. Her time in the public eye all began 10 years ago when she started taking acting and singing lessons. By 15 she was given the chance to show off her talents in various German TV programmes, such as: ‘Soko 5113’, ‘Rote Meile’ and ‘Der Bulle Von Tolz’ – she even appeared as Laura in the musical ‘A Chorus Line’. Jessie’s first step onto the musical platform came in 1996 as Jess Vaness, touring with bands such as: Caught In The Act and Tic Tac Toe. Unfortunately fame was not to find her just yet.

All this changed when Jessie met Felix Gauder, one of German’s most successful producers, through her work as a studio singer. His project E-Rotic sold a million worldwide and had been especially big in Europe and Japan. The pair decided to work together and Novaspace was born.
