| FE-MAIL,
formed in Cavan, Ireland back in April 2000, first came to public attention
following their successful placing in the Euro Song competition in 2001.
The band had the distinction of being the first all-girl live act to perform
at the IMRO / 2FM Showcase final in Dublin's Vicar Street venue. The band comprises 19 year-old Louise O'Reilly, (the youngest member) formeraly of pop band Endless Chords, where she shared vocals and played keyboards with sister Lorraine. She has been playing piano since the age of nine. Lorraine, Louise's sister, is a bank official with AIB Bank in Dublin. She plays both electric and acoustic guitar. She recently completed a communications course covering radio, television and studio recording. Avril Leonard is a multi-talented musician, proficient on piano, concert flute, whistle and keyboards. She has played numerous Fleadh Ceol events since she was nine. A member of the band Keltic Flavour since 1993, she graduated as a schoolteacher in 1998 and teaches classical piano. Selena, younger sister of Avril, has been lead singer with Keltic Flavour since 1994. She was finalist in several prestige song contests, notable Dun Laoghaire, Caven International, and she sang her own composition in the 2FM final in 1997. She has appeared in several television shows and her vocal range covers ballad,folk,contemporary, Irish and pop. She plays acoustic guitar and bodhrán. In addition to performing in Dublin's Whelans, Temple Bar Music Centre and Vicar Street, the band has performed in several prestigious festivals throughout Ireland, including Mary of Dungloe, the Rose of Tralee and Monaghan and Longford Festivals. After supporting Australian rockers INXS and Picture House, the girls are now primed to take over headlining chores. TV appearances on Kelly, FISH, The Den and Open House have added to their already growing reputation and stature. Recently the band was included in Hot Press and Big Buzz 2003 year book listed among the, "Bands Tipped to Make it Big in 2003".
